Being a Boy Mom
Since forever I've always always wanted a boy, so much so that I cried when I found out the gender of my first two babies (girls). Then finally when I least excepted it, always wanted a boy, so much so that I cried when I found out the gender of my first two babies (girls). Then finally when I least excepted it, at the lowest time of my life my AJ came. I was starting all over (my youngest was 12yrs old) and with a boy, talk about scared and clueless. But these last five years being a boy mom has been an adventure, one that I wasn’t prepared for but would do all over again except………..… Potty training yeah so far that has been the worst part of this boy journey!
The messy bathroom trips are the pits, its like the potty training don’t stop at diapers. It is well after we say bye-bye to diapers that we are still training them not to pee all over the bathroom or themselves. I have gone from begging and pleading with AJ to go poop in the big boy toilet instead of hiding in the corner pooping in his diaper, to running behind him with Lysol spray every time he goes to the bathroom.
Now that AJ has turned 5, he has decided that he no longer need pull-ups, because big boys can sleep without them! So I am excited to no longer have to buy big boy diapers, but now I’m on edge about the bedwetting. 2-3 am bed checks and bathroom trips are my life, I don’t ever remember potty training being this hard with the girls.
I know I’m not the only mom struggling with this please help!
